1) Fake Incomplete Warning Pages Are Used By Foreign Companies.
Don’t be fooled by copies of this warning page - foreign sites have
reproduced look alike pages lacking almost all the essential
information contained in these 20 points.
2) Full UK Bank Details And UK Bank Logo Should Be Displayed On Website.
If you want to be 100% sure an essay website is a genuine UK based buisness then ask to pay into their UK bank account.
3) Don’t Use Companies With 0808, 0870, or 0845 numbers.
Look for a Geographical UK phone number!
Ours is 01623 499055. Foreign companies can’t get UK landline numbers.
They can only get UK 0808, 0800, 0870 and 0845 numbers which they use to deceive you by porting to their foreign bases.
4) Ask For Proof Of UK Company And VAT Registration, And A UK Trading Address.
These must be visible on the site under UK law. All UK sites must have
these on their website. Do not accept phoney ‘Ltd’ or ‘Inc’ names, no
contact information, forwarding ‘Registered Offices’ or other excuses
such as “we are an Internet Company.”
5) Is The Ringtone Strange?
If So Then It’s Not A UK Line!
If a call is routed through a UK 0845, 800, 0875 or 0808 number to a
non-UK line the ringtone before the line is answered is very different.
6) Does Their Operator Have An English Accent?
Foreign
site operators will not - do not accept any excuses or lies - they will
tell you anything to get you to part with your money - they are based
abroad - it’s as simple as that.
7) Call Any Number And Check That The Phone Line Is Answered.
Some sites don’t have staff there to answer your calls, don’t accept unmanned phone lines or answer phones.
8) Foreign Companies May Have a .co.uk or .com Domain.
You
don’t have to be UK based to purchase a co.uk domain name - anyone can
obtain one. Don’t believe the line “we have a co.uk domain so we are UK
based.”
9) Ask Them To Provide A £1000 Bond To Guarantee No Plagiarism.
Anyone
can type on a website that their work is ‘fully original’ or ‘100%
custom’ - make them put their money where their mouth is by offering
you money if they fail to deliver.
10) Beware of Low Prices - True UK Academic Experts Charge High Fees.
Our
essays are £60 per 500 words - 500 words at 2:1 Level takes approx. 3
hours to research and write - that’s a rate of just £15 per hour (After
taxes) - Top academics will not often work for less!
11) Ensure That The Essayfraud.org Membership Mark Is Displayed.
Essayfraud.org
is an Independent essay company watchdog. They also display warnings
about overseas based scam essay companies and provide a complaints
forum for them.
12) Do Not Order From Any Company With A care@ Email Address.
These are all run by a well known Pakistani scam syndicate - they have over 200 sites so beware!
13) Do Not Order From Any Company That Charges Double Their .com Prices On Their .co.uk SiteAnother common trick of fraud sites - simply remove the .co.uk and type in .com after the domain to see.
14) Do Not Accept Blatantly False Promises.
For
Example - ‘All Writers Have PhD and Master's degrees, along with
writing experience of no less than 25 years, to work upon your essays’
(All for $10 per 250 words? They could earn more as a barman)
15) Do Not Use Sites With False and Illegal Advertising
For
Example ... - ‘World’s Best Essay Site’ or ‘The World’s Finest Custom
Writing Site’ (According to who? Them!) - As voted best in ‘Some
magazine that doesn’t exist’ - or ‘By our customers’ (meaningless lies)
- 'Officially Accredited or Given An Award' (There is no impartial
accreditation or award scheme) - ‘Bonus Offer - For One Week Only’ or
‘Discount If You Order Now’ (Yet it’s offered 365 days a year)
16) Do Not Trust A Site Just Because It Appears/Advertises On Google.
Google
take a “not our problem” approach to the false promises made on Google
Adwords (the coloured adverts at the top and side of Google) as well as
the fraudulent misrepresentations and lies many sites display on their
websites. As long as they pay Google, Google will display their advert.
17) Ask For A ‘On Time Delivery Or Your Money Back Promise’.
If they are truly going to deliver on time they will not hesitate to offer you this.
18) Genuine UK Sites and Their Owners Often Appear In The UK Press.
We
have nothing to hide and are always available to speak to the UK press.
Foreign companies often fear such exposure - you won’t find any
positive coverage about them.
19) Do Not Trust Sites That Sell Copyrights Or Encourage You To Cheat.
They
damage the industry, encourage dishonesty and fraud, yet they expect
you to believe they are honest and legitimate businesses! We are
campaigning for this practice to become illegal.
20) Most UK Sites Use WorldPay or Barclays EPDQ.
Do
Not Trust Sites That Use 2Checkout.com/2CO.com For Payments. Almost
without exception these sites are foreign based and take advantage of
the looser requirements that 2 Checkout.com impose on their merchants.
