FAQS on Plagiarism and Cheating

Q. Can't I do what I want with the work?
You must assure us that you will use it as an educational research tool only. The work remains our copyright and is not yours to hand in. It is there to inspire your final piece. If we believe any other motive exists for ordering the work then we will not supply it to you.

Q. You say your service is legal but is it cheating?
University guidelines always differ so we offer no advice on this matter. We would hate you to do anything that contravenes your regulations because you have taken our advice on a matter. thus it is up to you to check your university guidelines about using us. We like to think of the service as offering you a book for sale - but where you decide the pages that you want writing, or using an online personal tutor who suggests information that you should know for your essay. You can also view our essays service as like using a journal of published essays and finding the exact essay you were looking for. Using the work like you would use any of the above services to provide you with inspiration is not cheating in our opinion, it's just the same as using any other piece of research to point you in the right direction. However, to reiterate, you should always check your university guidelines.

Q. Your service looks likes it encourages plagiarism - do you?
Of course not! All work is our copyright, so cannot be handed in as your own. Not only would this be cheating but it would also be a breach of the copyright of our work. Legally, if we wanted, we could sell you the copyright on the work too - but that would of course be encouraging cheating, and that's the opposite of what University Dissertations was set up to achieve. Q. Do I need to reference the work? A. This is something that you must make your own mind up about by looking at the guidelines of your uni in particular. Bear in mind that the work is not going to be published for anyone to check or see. Again we cannot accept responsibility for your decision to either cite us or not cite us.

Q. How do you know I won't cheat?
Plagiarism is always difficult to detect. Like any educational tool the service is of course open to abuse and it is up to you to be honest and assure us that you won't pass our work off as your own, by handing in some, or all of it. The threat of plagiarism occurring never stopped anyone from writing a book, an article, lecture notes or publishing an educational website, and we won't allow it to stop our service either.

Q. If my supervisor does not accept some or all of your work can you amend that work and what will the charge be?
You cannot hand in our work to your supervisor, to do so is passing off our work as your own and is a breach of copyright as well as cheating.

Q. How do I pay and when?
All payment must be taken before the order is begun. Payments can be taken over the phone or through our website using all major credit cards and debit cards - the page of which we will give you once we have confirmed your order. For large pieces we can accept installments. We regret that we can no longer accept payment after delivery due to situations where our work has been received and then payment not made.

Q. Who deals with your payments?
All payments to University Dissertations go through a company called WorldPay - they are owned by the Royal Bank of Scotland, they independently verify all companies that they offer payments for. Q. How do I pay?
Usually we take payments over the phone. However we can also take payments online too. If you prefer the second option we will send the relevant details of the page to you if we can undertake the order. We need to pay our researchers for the work so we must take payment details up front. However we will not charge your card until work begins.

Q. What if the work is late?
If your work is late you will receive a discount. Thus we are not in the habit of sending our essays out late!

Q. How do I know I will get the work once I have paid?

Q. How do I receive work?
All work is e-mailed to you by registered e-mail and comes as an attachment in the form of a word document.

Q.What time will my work arrive?
All work will arrive on the day, or the day before you requested on your order form. The usual time for delivery is between 6 and 9p.m. but during very busy times it will arrive before 12.00 midnight.
